World peace through a nicely turned-down bed
That's what Dieter Huckestein, an executive with Hilton Hotels Corp., said during the opening session of this year's Las Vegas International Hotel & Restaurant Show, according to this article from Casino City Times. "Global tourism is a wonderful way to convince people that we in America are loving people."
Despite the fact that we lost about 10 million inbound foreign travelers to the U.S. over a three-year period, and now even stricter visa policies and other derrents to entering this country, Huckestein seems to think everyone still wants to come here to "share what we have," as he said in the article.
Here's hoping he's right.
