Meetings can save the world

OK, that's probably a bit dramatic, but if it's planned to be environmentally friendly, a meeting can definitely save some time, money, and landfill space. Check out the new Green Meetings Report just released by the Convention Industry Council. This series of guidelines for simple, cost-effective ways to plan and host "green" meetings is a serious keeper.

Also, take a gander at this article on meetings waste management from Association Meetings. Sorry if I seem to be harping on this topic, but I tend to be a bit of a crusader when it comes to environmental issues. We only have one planet, and I believe we need to take better care of her in any way we can, both in our personal lives and through our professional roles.
